 We are proud to share that Wondertabs has been selected as an Honoree at the 2025 Webby Awards for our collaboration with The Good Food Institute APAC on the Alternative Proteins Career Pathway platform.

Organized by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, the Webby Awards celebrate the best work in the digital space every year. This year, more than thirteen thousand entries were submitted from around the world. To be shortlisted among such outstanding projects is an honor that strengthens our belief that thoughtful design can move people toward real change.

Understanding the Challenge: Making Career Paths Accessible

Before any visual element came to life, we began with one essential question:
How do we make career pathways in the alternative proteins field feel tangible and understandable, even when the science can seem intimidating?

Across Asia Pacific, the alternative proteins industry is growing fast, but many people still do not know how to get involved. Young professionals often feel the field is too technical or complicated. Together with GFI, we wanted to transform that uncertainty into confidence through a digital experience that educates, sparks curiosity, and makes people feel guided.

From Aim to Implementation: What Made This Project Different

From the beginning, our aim was clear. We set out to build an educational and well-designed website, rich with interaction and backed by a brand identity that supports the vision for GFI Career Pathways. We developed an interface that is advanced, easy to use, and truly suited for continuous learning.

Here are some of the key features:

• Guided Pathway System
  We designed clear, step-by-step journeys covering three main scientific areas: plant-based, cultivated, and fermentation. This helps users avoid feeling overwhelmed by complex information.
• Fully Animated Interactive Pages
  Each step is designed to feel alive and engaging. We wanted users to feel they are exploring, not just reading.
• LabZone: A Digital Experiment Space
  We introduced LabZone, an interactive feature that combines visuals, audio, and gamification. LabZone offers a deeper way to learn and makes topics like biotechnology feel more approachable and enjoyable.
• A Thoughtful Visual Language
  We crafted more than seventy custom vector icons that translate complex biotech concepts into visuals that are friendly and clear. Combined with IBM Plex Sans as the main typeface, the site balances a scientific tone with youthful energy.

A Process Built on Trust and Learning

Every project teaches us something new. At Wondertabs, we believe that meaningful design always begins with trust and a genuine commitment to listen. For the Career Pathways project, our team spent time translating complex ideas into user-friendly journeys, balancing scientific depth with simple visuals and playful interactions. We explored how to keep curiosity alive through gamified elements like LabZone, where visuals, audio, and interaction come together to make learning feel immersive. It was not always easy, but every step reminded us that clear project management and honest communication matter just as much as beautiful design.

Today, the Career Pathways platform is more than just a website. It is an open invitation for anyone curious about building a better, more sustainable food system. This recognition from the Webby Awards is not the finish line. It is a sign that every detail we crafted, every idea we tested, and every pixel we refined with care will eventually reach the right people who value it.

We are proud. And we believe this honor only pushes us to go further and keep proving that meaningful design never stops at looking good but truly lives in the impact it creates.
